Cutimed® Sorbact® Hydroactive B

The Cutimed® Sorbact® Hydroactive B wound dressing binds germs according to the principle of hydrophobic interaction removing them from the wound. Since bacteria or fungi are not killed, no endotoxins are released. In addition, excess wound exudate is absorbed and trapped in the hydropolymer core of the wound dressing. In this way, autolytic debridement is supported, wound healing is effectively promoted and the risk of maceration is reduced.


The Hydroactive B wound dressing consists of an acetate mesh coated with dialkyl carbamoyl chloride (DACC). It also has an absorbent hydropolymer matrix with a semi-permeable polyurethane cover film and a skin-friendly hydrogel-based adhesive border. As a result, the dressing adapts to the wound bed, does not stick to the wound and ensures a painless and atraumatic dressing change.
